«New Line Cinema» (англ. «new line cinema» — «новая линия кино») — одна из крупнейших американских кинокомпаний.

История

Образована в 1967 году, дочерняя структура медиа-корпорации «Тайм Уорнэр». Включает подразделения по театральному прокату, сбыту, домашнему видео и отделение, специализирующееся на независимом кино, носящие название «Picturehouse». Компания причастна к выпуску кинотрилогии «Властелин колец», серии фильмов «Остин Пауэрс», «Блэйд», «Пункт назначения», «Тупой и ещё тупее», «Кошмар на улице Вязов», «Плутовство», «Смертельная Битва». Основатели — Роберт Шэй и Майкл Линн. Иногда в шутку «New Line Cinema» называют «Домом, который построил Фредди» из-за фильма, который сделал студию знаменитой — «Кошмар на улице Вязов»[1].

В 2008 году компания была поглощена «Warner Brothers» из-за финансовых проблем[2]. «New Line Cinema» специализировалась на фантастическом кино и лентах с широкомасштабными визуальными эффектами.
