Human Area Network - компьютерная сеть где в качестве среды передачи данных используется человеческое тело.

В качестве носителя информации используется слабое электрическое поле на поверхности человеческого тела. Передатчик, соответственно, в определённой и малой степени изменяет его, приёмник регистрирует эти изменения на поверхности тела - поле влияет на оптические свойства кристалла, что в свою очередь регистрируется лазером.
