One Thing - второй сингл певца и композитора Томаса Андерса с альбома "Different", выпущенный в августе 1989 года. Это очень красивая и динамичная песня направления поп-рок, текст которой восхваляет США, образ жизни в этой стране. Аранжировка богата партиями электрогитары. На сингл был снят красочный видеоклип. Съёмки проходили в Калифорнии: видеоряд изобилует пейзажами тихоокенских пляжей, Лос-Анджелеса и Голливудских холмов. По сюжету клипа Томас путешествует по Калифорнии за рулем шикарного автомобиля-кабриолета.

Сингл был выпущен на трех видах носителей: 7" vinyl, 12" vinyl, 3" mini-CD. Обложка у всех вариантов сингла отличалась цветом фона. На сингле представлена радио-версия песни "One Thing", отличающаяся от альбомной аранжировкой, длинная сингл-версия, представляющая собой яркий и динамичный ремикс, и Би-сайд, песня "Close Your Eyes To Heaven", которую также можно найти на альбоме "Different". Все песни сингла были написаны Томасом Андерсом, Марком Кассандрой (настоящее имя Петер Рис) и Мэри С. Эпплгейт (Thomas Anders, Marc Cassandra (whose real name is Peter Ries) and Mary S. Applegate). Запсь сингла проходила в Кёльне и Лондоне. Бэк-вокал: Томас Андерс, Сабина Ван Баарен (Sabine Van Baaren), Марк Кассандра (Marc Cassandra).
