Raison d'être (фр. разумное основание, смысл жизни) — проект шведского музыканта Питера Андерссона в стиле дарк-эмбиент. Название взято из книги Карла Густава Юнга.[1]

Начиная с основания в 1992 году проектом Raison d'être выпущено большое количество дисков на лейбле Cold Meat Industry.

Самым известными проектами Андерссона кроме Raison d'être являются Stratvm Terror, Necrophorus, Bocksholm и Atomine Elektrine.
