self-referred cases monitoring
Local hospitals and clinics (even if not designated as Olympic Hospitals) should be instructed to notify the OCOG MHQ, if they become aware of significant illnesses or injuries that have occurred at a venue. If a community-based clinic or hospital admits a member of the Olympic/Paralympic Family, they should notify MHQ. When a patient has been stabilized, MHQ can make arrangements to transfer such patient to an Olympic Hospital, if appropriate.
