= биофлавоноидыбольшой класс природных фенольных соединений, содержащих 15 атомов углерода, которые синтезируются в высших растениях. Большинство Ф. (известно свыше 6000) принадлежит к производным флавана (катехины, лейкоантоцианы), флавона (флаваноны, флаванонолы, флавоны, флавонолы) и флавилия (антоцианы, заводезоксиантоцианы). К Ф. относятся также ауроны, халконы, дигидрохалконы, изофлавоны и их производные. Ф. объединяет общность путей биосинтеза в растениях. Кольцо В и примыкающий к нему трехуглеродный фрагмент (атомы С-2, С-3 и С-4) молекулы Ф. синтезируются из шикимовой и пировиноградной кислот. Различные Ф. могут обладать антимикробным, спазмолитическим, антиастматическим и эстрогеноподобным свойствами, некоторые из них стимулируют митохондриальное фосфорилирование, замедляют перекисное окисление липидов, подавляют циклический АМФ (см. циклический аденозинмонофосфат), тирозин-протеинкиназу, натрий-, калий- и кальций-зависимую АТФазу (см. аденозинтрифосфатазы), йод-тирониновую дейодиназу. Ф. содержатся в листьях, цветах, плодах, корнях, древесине многих растений, особенно семейства цитрусовых и розоцветных. Лекарственными формами, содержащими Ф., могут служить высушенные ткани некоторых растений, экстракты из растительного сырья или флавоноидные комплексы, выделенные в чистом виде. Оказывают противовоспалительное, витаминизирующее действие, укрепляют стенки кровеносных сосудов, нормализуют жировой и белковый обмен в клетках; нетоксичны и неаллергенны. Некоторые производные Ф. используют в качестве фитоалексинов (птерокарпаны) и инсектицидов (ротеноиды). Первые Ф. были изолированы М. Шимким и Н.
