Вашингтонский университет (англ. University of Washington) — университет, основанный в Сиэтле в 1861 году при поддержке администрации штата Вашингтон. По числу студентов (ок. 43 тысяч) и бюджету (3100 млн долларов, 2005) является крупнейшим на северо-западе США.
Университетские здания сгруппированы вокруг Красной площади, на которую выходит неоготическая библиотека Суццало. При университете действуют художественная галерея им. Хенри и музей естественной истории им. Бёрка. Строительство новых зданий осуществляется при поддержке Билла Гейтса и Пола Аллена, родители которых преподавали в университете.
По состоянию на 2008 год восемь выпускников Вашингтонского университета были удостоены Нобелевской премии. В академическом рейтинге университетов мира он занимает 16-е место (2008). В 1961 г. в университете заработал экспериментальный ядерный реактор.
