Последний проект Дэймана The Good, the Bad & the Queen с одноименной пластинкой продолжает меланхоличную линию Blur, отражая ту грань творчества команды, что прослеживается в последних альбомах англичан. Вспомнить хотя бы композиции "Out Of Time" и "Sweet Song", которые так далеки от панк-ребячества "Girls And Boys"или пресловутой "Song 2".Помогают Элбарну далеко не новички: басист Пол Симонон из Clash и гитарист Verve Саймон Тонг, а также Тони Ален из группы Fela Kuti за барабанной установкой.
Дэйман снова дома и пишет песни о Лондоне. Неторопливый тихий вокал Элбарна в "Kingdom Of Doom" или "The Bunting Song" отведен на второй план и звучит как будто из соседней комнаты, гитарист лишь царапает струны, а ударные вообще плохо слышно. Но композиции настолько насыщенные и яркие, что можно, слушая в десятый раз один и тот же трек, находить новую изюминку. Мягкие клавишные сэмплы ("80's Life") и интересные гитарные эффекты делают изначальную акустическую зарисовку многослойной и полной актуальных идей для подражания. Треки незаметно перетекают из одного в другой, а альбом при этом слушается на одном дыхании. Меланхоличная домашняя атмосфера и оптимистичное настроение музыкантов гармонично сплетены в звучании пластинки от настоящих профессионалов своего дела.
