A British L2-A2 fragmentation grenade

M61 grenade — американская ручная осколочная граната.

Предназначена для поражения живой силы в бою. К цели граната доставляется только за счет ее броска рукой солдата.

Радиус поражения осколками гранаты 5 метров, радиус возможного поражения 15 метров.

Взрыв гранаты происходит через 4-6 секунд после освобождения прижимного рычага. Перед броском предварительно следует удалить предохранительное кольцо, прижав рычаг пальцами к корпусу гранаты.

Боевая граната окрашивается в оливково-сероватый цвет.
