Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL, NSE: SAIL, LSE: SAUD) — крупнейший государственный сталелитейный концерн Индии[1]. С оборотом 486,8 млрд рупий (10,8 млрд. $) входит в пятёрку крупнейших компаний страны. Организован 24 января 1973 года. Количество занятых — около 132 тыс. Председателем компании с 11 июня 2010 года является Чандра Шехар Верма (англ. Chandra Shekhar Verma)[2]. Годовой объём продукции в 2006 году — 13,5 млн т[1] (16-е место в мире).

Продукция: сляб, плоская заготовка, плоский слиток[1].

Основные заводы компании расположены в Бхилаи, Бокаро (англ.)русск., Дургапуре, Роуркеле (англ.)русск., Бурнпуре (англ.)русск., Асансоле, Салеме.
