Consequence of Sound (CoS) — американский музыкальный сайт, публикующий новости, обзоры альбомов и концертов, редакционные статьи. Кроме того, он включает в себя микросайт Festival Outlook, который служит в качестве онлайновой базы данных для новостей и слухов о музыкальных фестивалях. В 2011 году был открыт видеоканал под названием Cluster 1. Сайт был назван в честь одноимённой песни Регины Спектор[1].

Сайт был создан в сентябре 2007 года Алексом Янгом[2] (сейчас он занимает должность CEO и издателя сайта) и в настоящее время его штат насчитывает более 50 авторов, редакторов, дизайнеров и фотографов[3].

Consequence of Sound входит в список самых влиятельных музыкальных сайтов по версии Technorati[4]. CoS также является одним из 40 сайтов, которые составляют Complex Media Network — рассчитанную на мужскую аудиторию онлайновую сеть рекламных агентств, основанную журналом Complex[3]. В 2010 году About.com назвал Consequence of Sound лучшим музыкальным блогом года[5]. Рецензии сайта учитываются на Metacritic[6], и его материалы публикует Time[7].
