Bi-wiring — это промежуточный между обычным и Bi-amping способ подключения акустической системы к усилителю, используемый в основном в Hi-Fi оборудовании. При обычном подключении, двухжильный кабель соединяет усилитель и акустическую систему, и далее, в самой акустической системе происходит разделение на фильтр НЧ и фильтр ВЧ. При подключении bi-wiring, усилитель и акустическую систему соединяет четырехжильный кабель: одна пара для фильтра НЧ , вторая — для фильтра ВЧ.

Считается, что подключение Bi-wiring позволяет добиться лучшей детальности звучания.

Однако, противники соединения типа «bi-wiring» утверждают что оба типа подключения практически одинаковы. Существует мнение, что bi-wiring — всего лишь очередной маркетинговый ход для продажи более дорогих акустических кабелей. [1]
