Hastings Chess Club

Hastings Chess Club — один из старейших шахматных клубов Великобритании; основан в июне 1882 по инициативе английских любителей шахмат — X. Ф. Чешира и Дж. Колборна. До начала 2-й мировой войны 1939—1945 арендовал помещения в различных районах Гастингса; после войны разместился на улице Корнуоллис-Террас.

Проводит ежегодные шахматные конгрессы (см. Гастингские турниры). Обладает одной из лучших шахматных библиотек в Великобритании, коллекцией фотографий и различных шахматных реликвий со времён В. Стейница.
