Хотеллинг Гарольд

Гарольд Хотеллинг (англ. Harold Hotelling; 29 сентября 1895 — 26 декабря 1973) — американский экономист и статистик, автор модели линейного города. В 1919 г. получил степень бакалавра по журналистике и магистра по математике (1921) в университете Вашингтон, доктора философии (1924) в Принстоне. Преподавал в Стэнфордском, затем - и в Колумбийском университете (1931-1946), где возглавлял кафедру экономики. С 1946 г. до выхода в отставку возглавлял департамент статстики в университете Северной Каролины. Президент Эконометрического общества (1936-37).
