Mortgage Equity Withdrawal (MEW): Mortgage Equity Withdrawal - Объем выданных кредитов под залог жилья - оценочный показатель Банка Англии, который измеряет объем новых кредитов, выданных под залог жилья, но не потраченных на рынке недвижимости. Рост этого показателя влечет увеличение капитальных субсидий и объемов ипотечного кредитования, а также уменьшает инвестиций домохозяйств в сектор жилья (покупки новых домов, зданий в других секторах экономики, улучшение недвижимости и транзакционные издержки по переезду). Тенденция к повышению оказывает положительное воздействие на национальную валюту, потому что исторически займы и расходы потребителей высоко скоррелированны.
