Basic vocabulary
(англ. 'основной словарь')
В глоттохронологии — заданный список значений (обычно числом 100), которому соответствуют слова разных сравниваемых языков, подвергаемые статистическим подсчетам для установления меры общности языков и, далее, времени их разделения. В список включены значения, которые обнаруживают большую устойчивость во времени передающих их слов и не зависят от типа культуры. К таковым относятся личные и вопросительные местоимения, некоторые глаголы, обозначающие движение, элементарные действия и состояния, размерные прилагательные, названия космических явлений, некоторые цветообозначения, важнейшие термины родства и др.
