Ashby Station is a Bay Area Rapid Transit station, located at Ashby Avenue and Adeline Street in the southern part of Berkeley, California. It consists of an underground island platform. The station was originally planned to be elevated but the City of Berkeley paid the extra cost to have it built underground.

The station includes park-and-ride facilities with 600 automobile parking spaces in two separate parking lots, 24 motorcycle spaces, 36 bike lockers, and bike rack spaces. Access mode shares (2002) were: 40% pedestrian, 38% automobile (park and ride), 9% automobile (kiss and ride), 8% bicycle, and 6% connecting transit. [BART Access Evaluation System, January 2002, cited in BART Bicycle Access and Parking Plan - Volume 1, August 2002, page A-6.]

Unique in the BART system, the City of Berkeley, rather than BART, controls the air rights on the parking lots. The west parking lot of the station hosts a popular flea market on weekends; a proposed residential development over the west lot has proven locally controversial. The east parking lot is the planned site of the Ed Roberts Campus development. The East Parking Lot was closed for demolition and construction on August 18, 2008 and access to the station will be temporarily closed for the expected duration of 18 months of construction planned to end in February 2010.

Service at this station began on January 29, 1973. [cite web| url=http://www.bart.gov/docs/BARThistory.pdf| title=BART Chronology| author=Bay Area Rapid Transit| date=2005-06-30| format=PDF| ]
