Потеря в массе металлического порошка или компактного металла, вызванная нагревом представленного образца согласно точно установленному технологическому процессу в очищенной по водороду атмосфере. В широком смысле - содержание кислорода в образце при применении данного термина к материалам, содержащим только такие оксиды, которые не восстанавливаются водородом и не содержат гидридообразующих элементов.
