Quick Time Events (QTE) — элемент некоторых компьютерных игр. Сводится к тому, что на мониторе высвечиваются определённые клавиши или их сочетания, и игрок должен вовремя нажимать на соответствующие клавиши, чтобы персонаж производил определённые действия.

Одной из первых игр использующих QTE была Time Gal (1985 год). Система QTE прославилась благодаря приключенческим играм Danger Girl, Shenmue, Dragon’s Lair, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) и в дальнейшем нашла широкое применение в таких играх как God of War, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Collapse, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (в мини играх), Saints Row 2 (мини-игры), Heavy Rain, ObsCure 2, Sonic Unleashed, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Battlefield 3, Jurassic Park: The Game, FarCry 3 и т. д.

Система представлена во многих играх последних лет, она более характерна для игровых приставок, чем для PC-игр. Часто используется в аркадах.
