Отладочный сайт, в веб-дизайне, это веб-сайт используемый для сборки, отладки и тестирования этого сайта перед выкладыванием на рабочий хостинг. Эта фаза следует за стадией разработки. Процесс тестирования программного продукта обычно происходит на точной копии оборудования и программного обеспечения, используемого на «боевом» сервере. Отладочный сайт достаточно часто находится отдельно от сайта разработки и предполагает наличие отдельного тестера или команды тестеров (QA).

Обычно перед выкладыванием свежей версии программного продукта его выливают на сайт для тестирования, где пользователи могут убедиться в том, что все заказанные возможности работают так, как предполагалось.
