Lysator

Lysator — университетский компьютерный клуб в Линчёпингском университете (Швеция), объединяющий около 600 человек. Является независимым некоммерческим сообществом отдельным от студенческого союза и факультетов университета.

История

Lysator был основан 29 марта 1973 года. Первым компьютером, использовавшимся в Lysator, был Datasaab D21, переданный клубу 25 мая 1973 года. В том же десятилетии участники клуба спроектировали и начали создание микрокомпьютера Lys-16, который был достаточно передовым на то время за счёт использования 16-битных слов памяти.[1]

В 1993 году Lysator запустил первый веб-сервер в Швеции, ставший одним из первых 10-15 веб-серверов в мире.

30 июля 2010 года в Lysator начали переезд на новый 3-юнитовый сервер,[2] увеличив при этом объём дисковых хранилищ с 700 Гбайт до 13 Тбайт.[3]
