I’ve Been Tired — песня с дебютного релиза американской альтернативной группы Pixies, EP «Come on Pilgrim». Песня была написана фронтменом группы, Блэком Фрэнсисом, и записана для демо The Purple Tape, часть которого и составила дебютный EP группы.

«I’ve Been Tired» регулярно исполнялась и исполняется на концертах Pixies, входя почти во все её сет-листы, хотя не относится к числу самых знаменитых песен группы. Исполнение песни вошло на DVD с концертом Pixies 1988 года[1]; однако, она не была включена в компиляции лучших вещей группы — «Death to the Pixies» и «Wave of Mutilation: Best of Pixies».

В первом и втором куплетах «I’ve Been Tired» пересказывается малосвязный разговор героя с какой-то женщиной; в третьем и четвёртом куплете певец переходит к характеристике этой женщины. Песня является характерным примером эксцентричного чувства юмора Блэка Фрэнсиса. В тексте упоминается певец и лидер группы The Velvet Underground Лу Рид.

В поп-культуре

  • Песня перепевалась группой New Retros для трибьюта Hey: A Pixies Tribute и Jonus для трибьюта Death to the Pixies—We're Better!. На концертах «I’ve Been Tired» несколько раз перепевали Pearl Jam, но записи с этой версией выпущено не было[2].
  • Песня звучит в фильме М. Найта Шьямалана «Неуязвимый» во время сцены в магазине комиксов.
