HMS Formidable

Пять кораблей Королевского флота носили название HMS Formidable :

  • HMS Formidable — 80-пушечный линейный корабль 2 ранга; взят у французов при Кибероне в 1759, отправлен на слом в 1768.
  • HMS Formidable — 90-пушечный линейный корабль 2 ранга. Спущен на воду в 1777. Участвовал в бою у острова Уэссан и при островах Всех Святых. Перестроен в 74-пушечный 3 ранга в 1813, в том же году отправлен на слом.
  • HMS Formidable — 84-пушечный линейный корабль 2 ранга. Спущен на воду в 1825. Передан резерву как учебный корабль в 1869, продан в 1906.
  • HMS Formidable — додредноутный линкор, головной корабль типа Formidable. Спущен на воду в 1898, торпедирован и потоплен в 1915.
  • HMS Formidable — авианосец типа Illustrious. Спущен на воду в 1939, продан на слом в 1953.
