Электрод (электрохимический).
Один из пары проводников, представленных в электрохимическом элементе, между которыми ионы в электролите двигаются в противоположные стороны, и на поверхности которого происходит реакция (когда действует соответствующая внешняя схема). При постоянном токе один электрод или «полюс» заряжен положительно, другой отрицательно.
