Усталостная прочность при N циклах (SN).
Предполагаемое значение напряжения разрушения при заданном N числе циклов в соответствии с кривой S—N. Значение SN, таким образом, определяется при тех же самых условиях как те, которые были заданы для кривой S—N. Значения SN, которые обычно приводятся в литературе, предполагаемое значение максимального напряжения Smax, минимального напряжения Smin или амплитудного напряжения Sa, при которых 50 % образцов данной выборки смогут выдержать N циклов напряжений и в которых среднее напряжение Sa = 0. Также известна как средняя усталостная прочность при N циклах.
